THE UNIVERSITY RULE

As we have been made to recite over and over again by the FBCs:

Freshmen are prohibited to join sororities or fraternities.

Great rule...If we were interested to join...which I don't think is true - at least for us.

While we were waiting for our turn for the physical examination,the FBCs reminded us again and again (almost until our ears bled) about the consequences of breaking the rule. They had very interesting stories, too many in fact that I it would only make my fingers hurt. :D So there...


Anyway, they (FBCs) said that there are only three things that would get you expelled from UP:

1. Academic delinquency
-Never let failing be a habit.
-You should never make 3,4 or 5 your favorite numbers

--->YOU KNOW THE DRILL.

2. Academic Dishonesty
-Cheating
- Plagiarism

Kuya Galie(Senior FBC): (*rephrased) There was a student of UP that was this close to graduating with a PhD and didn't get to because one paper he passed in his Comm I was plagiarized. He was made to start from first year all over again. ----> SCARY NOH? haha.

3. BREAKING THE UNIVERSITY RULE -----> if I remember it right.
------> As mentioned above.


None of us would want this : YOURNAME right?



So at one point I decided to ask why people do join these things...Ate Nikki said that it's because these people want to have more friends, probably fame and that feeling that many people want to be with you.

I was thinking, "Baka people. How could they be that stupid and not think about what could happen when they would want to back out but cannot because joining a sorority/fraternity is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT? "

Yes. You read it right. It is a lifetime commitment. Once you're in, YOU'RE IN...and you'll never get out alive. Bwahahahaha! But seriously, yeah.

KUYA GALIE : When someone approaches you and tries to get your CP number, don't give yours. Give your FBC's number and we'll take care of it. That is usually the first stages of the regular eight or nine in sorority/fraternity recruitment.

Also, when someone wants to treat you to lunch, refuse politely as afterwhich you shall have an "utang-na-loob" to them and you WILL be forced to join.

Don't trust anyone except your FBCs because we are the people who the University trusts (Members of the Student Affairs).


I just want you guys to know that after freshman year, we can join whatever we want to (AS IF NAMAN WE WOULD JOIN SUCH A GROUP!)...Just FYI.

Actually, sabi ko nga if someone tries to treat me to lunch, I could do one of three things:

a. PERSON: Want a free lunch? Come with me.
ME: Ay! Thank you nalang po. If you want I can treat you to lunch nalang...*whispers* But you have to join my sorority as well...Bwahahahaa!

b.PERSON: Want a free lunch? Come with me.
ME: Thanks but sorry, I'm on a diet.

c.PERSON: Want a free lunch? Come with me.
ME: Sorry but I have money.

Reminder: Never show interest in any of the sororities or fraternities as they would NEVER ever stop bugging you again! :D

Haha...onga e. Opinion lang naman siguro ni Kuya Cleve. Pero yung mga nagre-recruit talaga kahit alam nang bawal siguro yun nga yung rason nila. Sabi ni Ate Nikki kung matino daw silang frat at soro at alam nila ang university rule, hindi sila magre-recruit ng freshies. Tama nga naman diba. May iba daw kasi na hindi naman kumikilos, nagyayabang lang.

Nga pala...somebody asked kasi why do frats and soros recruit freshies when they know that they're (the freshies) forbidden to join. Kuya Cleve said that it's because they want to challenge the administration (like the FBCs) to see who's greater (doesn't sound right. Basta kung sino daw mas magaling.Haha...). And of course, Kuya Cleve said that the FBCs are better. Haha... ^_^

Cool! Haha. Who's your FBC? I'm under Kuya Gerome. Too bad I didn't land on Block 1; Maki-niichan (Mitsuhaki Masashi) would have been my FBC. Shara's on Block 1 so I'm totally alone. Huhuhu...
