First Lab Practicals
We had our first lab practical exams yesterday and mind you it was no small thing. I almost thought that we, as it was in pairs, wouldn't be able to score half the items in the test. But we made it through anyway.
Here's what we happened. We were given 10 plant parts to find in different specimens provided by our professor. The first pair to get a perfect score will have a plus 2, the second pair plus 1. If you get the same item wrong twice you no longer have the chance to try looking for that part again. So, we were running around exchanging slides and desperately looking for the said plant parts. We got 8 right, though we would've gotten 9 if we just followed our intuition about the sieve tube element. We really regretted not getting that one right 'cause it was so easy and the answer was right under our noses. Oh well, eight is not so bad. In any case, the experience itself was exciting and it was really fulfilling every time we get the right answer. It was a very fun lab activity. I hope we have other stuff like this in the future. :D

You can wear contacts during lab? well.. it's bio so it's ok i guess.. but in chem you can't since you'll have chemicals stuck in your contacts..
ahehe.
well you sound pro in doing experiments already :p

- Yeah, but more than an hour of looking through microscopes can be hellish. Especially since I'm wearing contacts; I tend to strain my eyes more. Oh well, that's part of the package. Must deal with it ^_^

ahaha.. :))
welll not sure if we'll have any lab praticals..
but lab experiments are so cool.. (it's exciting since we never used equipments back in our High school days :p)
